Public Releases
The latest version of the server is 2.1.1 version (PGP Signature) We strongly recommend that you use it in preference to an older version. The older versions are available for archival reasons, and should not be used. The following PGP key may be used to validate the release binaries.

Daily Builds
There are two other methods of getting FreeRADIUS: Downloading a source tarball (either of a release or of a nightly CVS snapshot) or using CVS to download the latest development version.
One should be careful of the daily builds, as the server is under active development. The CVS builds may not even compile, much less work as one hopes, so unless you're curious, or if you want to help further develop the server, you should almost certainly choose to obtain the latest released version from the top of the list, above.
Manual Pages
The top-level README and INSTALL files contain instructions for configuring and installing the server. Additional documentation is found on the usage page, or in the man pages.
If the server is installed properly on your local system, you should
be able to type man rlm_foo to see the "man" page for the
module "foo".
Not all modules have "man" pages, so please read radiusd.conf for additional documentation.
